News from the Deadline Quilter!
It’s done, it’s done, it’s done, Done, DONE!!!! And a full 96 hours before the deadline!!

“It”, of career, is the quilt for our first Hungarian grandchild, tiny Blanka, whom we will be visiting next week. We liberty for the airport around twelve o'clock on Monday, so that was the compact and fast deadline.
Actual to form, I managed to create considerable operate for myself by deciding after I had contour-quilted the hot-air balloons, that the intellectual quilting exemplar for the cloud structure surrounding the balloons was clog shell quilting, now be aware of to Crackpots as nebulosity quilting. I was rectify - the quilting truly enhances the clouds, at least in my notion, but cloud quilting involves curves, lots and lots and lots of them as can be seen in the following photos.

But it was not as bad as I had feared, and I perfect the quilting on Monday, a full week before withdrawal. On Tues. around twelve o'clock, I put in the last machine sew together. That evening, I hand stitched moiety the binding to the backing, and I stitched the other moiety on Wed. evening. Thursday dawn I washed and dried it, and it was totally completed by noon. As I scrawl this, it is packed in a immense plastic baggie along with the nuptials quilt for Judy, our Hungarian daughter, and adopt wrapping materials in the bear-on bag that I will use to transport it to Hungary.
YAY!!! HOORAY!!!!!
When we get back from the skip, I will start on the quilt for Judy and Peter’s small boy, due in the summer, and for which I have already purchased pile.
