I used to have feeling alienated by cunning sites having so many projects that were geared towards babies and toddlers. I felt resembling I couldn't in fact identify with defective to make things for tiny kids because, obviously, there are not many small kids that I run into on a diurnal basis (except you count the ones carefully veiled as grown men har har har). Now that more parents and children members and friends I be aware of seem to be having babies, I'm more inclined to bring into being some fun gifts for their new additions.

There's one truly great substance about projects for small kids: they're widdle! They don't take a lot of duration and I like that I get to use sweet sweet cutsie patterns and understand that it won't get stuck in the bottom of a drawer somewhere. First off, I made two quilts inspired by the go in the rear the wake of-the-lines baby quilt in Last Little Patchwork Gifts.

I'd been eyeing this spaceship pile for a while. You don't see a lot of boyish building in stores. When I first dotted this print, it went out of stalk before I could push myself to buy it, so when I saw it again online, I had to have it. It is so dang cute. I'd have a bad day at act and just skilful I'd come abiding-place to hand quilt some rocket ships made me smile. You cannot scowl when looking at red and azure spaceships, it's not humanly in posse.

This quilt was for Ryan's 2nd natal day. I hand quilted it, and the stitches are immense and definitely casual, but I kind of parallel the effect. It's almost as if a minute kid did it, I think it adds a bit o magic.
